2016 ADI Visiting Fellowship (Application Deadline: 30 June 2016)

Asia Development Institute of Seoul National University invites academics and experts including doctoral and postdoctoral students to apply for the ADI Visiting Fellowship. The ADI Visiting Fellowship aims to support those who intend to undertake research in South Korea for a short period of time (within two weeks) in the field of development studies and public policy broadly understood addressing substantive concerns and issues related to national development in the developing world. We are especially interested in scholars whose work focuses on the South Korean experience either in the form of case study or comparative research.

The Fellowship Grant
The fellowship will cover up an economy class round airfare ticket and a research grant of $1,500 which will cover travel insurance, accommodation, and the expense for field research in South Korea. The recipient will be provided an office at Seoul National University and invited to participate in the academic activities of Asia Development Institute.

Responsibilities
The fellow will be expected to: (1) give a presentation of research at ADI and (2) submit a report of the field research (3) publish academic paper(s) acknowledging the ADI support. The field research should be completed by the end of December 2016.

To submit an application for the 2016 fellowship, applicants may email a COMPLETE and COLLATED PDF file to snuadi@gmail.com with subject ‘2016 ADI Visiting Fellowship_your name’. The application should be submitted by June 30, 2016 consisting of the following items below:

  • Curriculum vitae with two names of Referees
  • Research proposal (up to 3 pages) including plan of the field research, with mention of the expected dates of the field research
