The Nam Center for Korean Studies at the University of Michigan is now accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Korean Studies for the 2018-2019 academic year. The fellowship is open to scholars from all fields whose research relates to Korea. Preference will be given to the applicants whose research/teaching interests concern contemporary Korea. The fellow will be expected to participate in Center events and related activities at U-M, as well as teach a course in Winter and/or Spring term of 2019.
The fellowship will cover up to a 12-month period between September 1, 2018 and August 31, 2019, and will carry a stipend of $50,000 plus benefits as well as $3,000 in research funds. The postdoctoral fellow will be provided a shared office and access to libraries and resources at the University.
Eligibility Applicants must have received their Ph.D. degree within five years of the postdoctoral appointment year (2013 or later).
